The Pig in the CotswoldsCotswolds
It’s no secret that we love a Pig! And we definitely felt the love at the brand new Pig in the Cotswolds, with its own stand-alone spa and beautiful gardens with a romantic folly. Expect a warm welcome, delicious kitchen-garden-to-fork food and tubs big enough for two.

What could be more romantic that floating your way round cocooning candlelit pools then enjoying a soothing treatment below the buzzy streets of Covent Garden. Once you emerge, you can head round the corner to the rooftop bar at The Royal Opera House to enjoy a glass of fizz.

Scarlet Hotel and SpaCornwall, South West
If a cliff top hot tub and sauna with stunning coastal views floats your boat, then the Scarlet will deliver. Perched about Mawgan Porth beach you can include romantic coastal walks in the mix, or maybe head to nearby Newquay for a spot of surfing.

Away Spa at W Hotel EdinburghScotland
Cool and central, the shiny new W Hotel Edinburg has a lovely private spa suite with a super-sized jacuzzi, sauna and experience showers, plus a large and luxurious double treatment room.
Check into the WOW Suite, which definitely lives up to its name with a circular bed, but make sure you manage to tear yourself away to enjoy a drink or two in the lovely rooftop bar with a 360 degree Edinburgh vista. We loved trying out the private spa suite - one of the largest we've visited in the UK.

Boringdon Hall Hotel and SpaSouth West
Another Spavellous favourite, historic Boringdon Hall near Plymouth has authentic castle vibes, a Michelin-starred restaurant, Acleaf, and modern new spa suites. Some of the suites have the added bonus of their own private hot tub. Make sure you book ahead to enjoy a naturally indulgent Gaia treatment or two.

Chewton GlenNew Forest
If you’re looking for a push-the-boat-out kind of spa escape, Chewton Glen's fabulous treehouses are up there (literally!) and come with their own balcony hot tub. They're in a great location too, just a short stroll to Highcliffe-on-Sea, so it's no surprise it consistently makes the Best Spas for Couples list.

Three Graces Spa at Grantley HallNorth of England
Nothing says romance like classic combination of timeless elegance, a luxury spa with refreshments served to the comfort of your pool-side lounger and five fabulous restaurants. If you're really wanting to splash out, book one of the hotel's seriously luxurious suites. We particularly loved the Presidential Suite which comes complete with its own bar and baby grand piano.

The NiciSouth West
If you’re looking for a little modern romance, check out the new Miami-style Nici Hotel in Bournemouth. With indoor and outdoor pools and bespoke couples' treatments, you can get your romantic relaxation fix come rain or shine before heading to one of the hotel’s lively restaurants or the Nici's in-house cinema.

Bamford Wellness Spa, DaylesfordCotswolds
One of our stand-out treatments of last year was at Bamford Wellness Spa in the Cotswolds. A naturally nurturing rural haven, these guys know how to deliver a top-notch massage! And they don’t hold back on the use of their lovely oils either, which adds to the sense of indulgence.

Calcot and SpaCotswolds
Another Spavellous favourite, and one of the very best Spas for Couples is Calcot and Spa near Tetbury. A great romantic all-rounder, it'll take you from steamy fire-side hot tub to melt-in-the-mouth cheese soufflé via its shiny new fitness centre. A great choice for a rural romantic getaway at any time of year.

Eynsham Baths at Estelle ManorOxfordhsire
New kid on the block Estelle Manor in Oxfordshire is another great choice for a romantic spa escape, with a lively, chic vibe and a gorgeous marble-clad roman style spa. Not the cheapest of our selection, but one of the best new spas for couples looking to celebrate in style.
