Brimstone Hotel & Spa
Brimstone’s spa is the perfect place to retreat to after a day’s hiking, and guests are invited to enjoy a spa ‘journey’ to get the best out of their seven heat experiences. The spa’s only open to residents, to maintain the feeling of space and calm, and residents can use the spa for free.
• indoor-outdoor pool – with poolside log fire, bubble jets and swan neck fountain • fitness studio • relaxation areas – inside and out • Finnish sauna • experience showers • ice fountain • himalaya salt steam room • lava sauna • mineral steam bath • herbal sauna • laconium
Spa Treatments have been designed specifically for Brimstone guests using their own product range, Pure Alchemy, created by a local apothecary. Additional treatments are by Elemis. All treatments need to be booked in advance.
wining & dining
There’s no formal on-site dining at Brimstone itself but you can opt for room service, or to make the short walk to The Stove Bar and Restaurant at the neighbouring Langdale Hotel.
Complementary drinks and snacks are available 24 hours from the fabulous Reading Room – brimstone’s luxurious interpretation of a hotel lounge – including scones, sandwiches and sweet treats. And there’s a local pub, Wainwrights, for anyone after more hearty fare.
why so spavellous?
The Brimstone spa journey is a delight to the senses and a fun way to enjoy time with a partner or spa buddy. There are thoughtful extra touches too, like the boot room with Arc’teryx kit hire – a nice touch for those of you who like to travel light (or have forgotten your walking boots).
But the icing on the cake is the service-with-a-genuine-smile delivered by the slick team of Tweed-clad ‘hosts’ ready to cater to your every need.
We recommend the Spa Suite (of course) with its terrific super-sized tub. And to book the private Bubble spa ahead for extra exclusivity and luxury.
Brimstone is adult-only, but, if you’re travelling with the family, there’s the popular Langdale Hotel within the same estate.
‘The service was amazing – from walking routes to taxi service, the hosts sorted everything to make our stay extra-special’
‘Loved the Reading Room – and of course the free snacks
